The right deal, matched before the first call.

A private deal platform that connects investors, startup founders and business owners. Both sides declare their criteria, every Brief carries a Fit score and a Risk signal, and nothing sensitive opens until both sides accept a shared NDA.

Beta applications are openU.S. only

Free during the beta. The beta is for the Safqos iPhone app: apply on the web, and accepted members get TestFlight access, plus the web app in the meantime. Not a broker-dealer.

Investors

Stop chasing founders who were never raising.

  • DMs that never get a reply
  • Founders not actually raising
  • Wrong stage, wrong structure
On Safqos

Both sides declare stage, sector, structure and check size. Fit is scored before you read a word.

Startup founders

Pitch only investors who fund your stage.

  • A quarter lost to wrong-fit pitches
  • Learning the fit after the meeting
  • A slow raise and a fast runway
On Safqos

Investors state what they fund before they reach your feed. You see Fit before the first message.

Business owners

Talk to serious investors, not tire-kickers.

  • Dead-end calls eating your week
  • No way to tell who is serious
  • Your books shared too early
On Safqos

Every investor shows their check size and structure up front. Your financials stay locked behind a shared NDA.

The problem, in numbers.

For investors: the funnel

101considered for every 1 invested, in a survey of institutional VCs

  1. 28of every 101, meet the founders
  2. 10of every 101, reviewed with partners
  3. ~5of every 101, go through due diligence
  4. 1.7of every 101, get a term sheet
  5. 1of every 101, invested
Sources

Funnel from Gompers, Gornall, Kaplan and Strebulaev, “How Do Venture Capitalists Make Decisions?”, Journal of Financial Economics, 2020 (survey of 885 institutional VCs at 681 firms, Table 6), also summarized by Ilya Strebulaev, Stanford GSB, 2026. Stage splits vary by firm and investment focus. The same survey reports VCs taking an average of 83 days to close a deal (73 days for early-stage firms) and an average of 118 hours of due diligence per deal; Strebulaev reports about 15 hours a week spent sourcing and screening. The stages Safqos is built to compress are the early ones: scoring every deal against your declared criteria and itemizing its risk before you read it.

For founders: the outreach

71investors contacted per startup, on average (pre-seed, 2022–23)

  • 46meetings set from that outreach
  • 4.3%of cold pitch emails get an interested reply
  • 25%of founders spend over half their week on fundraising
Sources

Outreach: DocSend pre-seed fundraising report, 2022–23 (200+ startups), an average of 71 investors contacted and 46 meetings; about a third of successful pre-seed raises took 13 to 18 weeks, and unsuccessful raises persisted about 5 months on average. Dropbox DocSend, December 2024: “Fundraising time averaged 12 weeks for pre-seed rounds.” Reply rate: Gornall and Strebulaev, a randomized field experiment of 80,000 cold pitch emails to 28,000 VCs and angels, 4.3% interested replies. Founder time: Angel Investment Network US Founder Survey, 2025 (610 US founders), 25% spend over half their week solely on fundraising. Safqos has not launched, so no measured time saving is claimed here.

For owners: the shortfall

58%of small businesses that applied for financing got less than they sought, or nothing

  • 22%got none of it
  • 42%got the full amount
Sources

Federal Reserve Banks, Small Business Credit Survey, 2026 Report on Employer Firms (March 2026; 6,525 employer firms with 1–499 employees): “Forty-two percent of applicants received the full amount of financing they sought, 36% received some or most, and 22% received none.” The prior year was similar: 41%, 36% and 24% (2025 report). The 58% is the 36% and 22% combined. Financing here is mostly loans and lines of credit. Safqos has not launched, so no measured improvement is claimed here.

How it compares.

A note from the founder.

Private capital still runs on cold intros and who you happen to know. That model is broken.

Think about how a deal starts today. A founder sends a deck to an investor who never writes checks at their stage. An owner spends months on investors who were never the right fit. An investor reads pitch after pitch to find the few worth a call. Everyone learns, one conversation at a time, what could have been known on day one: do we actually fit?

That costs more than time. It costs momentum, morale, and sometimes the company. Good deals die in that noise, not because they were bad, but because the right people never met.

Safqos is built to fix that. Both sides declare their criteria first. Every Brief shows Fit and a Risk signal before the first message. A shared NDA comes before any document. Calls, files and notes stay in one place. The first conversation is with someone who already fits.

I'm building it in Houston, and founding members get a direct line to me. It's a beta, so some things will be rough. If you've felt this problem, apply for the beta and help me fix it.

Short answers.

What is Safqos?
Safqos is a private deal platform that connects investors, startup founders and business owners. Both sides declare their criteria, every Brief carries a Fit score and a Risk signal, and nothing sensitive opens until both sides accept a shared NDA. It is a U.S. beta of the Safqos iPhone app, with a web app alongside it.
Who is Safqos for?
Safqos is for investors, startup founders who are raising, and owners of operating businesses. Investors are angels, private investors, operator-investors, family offices and small funds. Founders run startups raising capital. Owners run operating companies raising growth capital, through equity, debt or revenue share. Each declares their criteria, and the Fit score reads one side's declaration against the other's.
What stops people from going silent after we connect?
Nothing can force someone to reply, but Safqos shows you the pattern before you invest time. Once a member has enough message history, their Brief and profile carry a plain line such as "Replies within hours" or "Sometimes goes quiet", worked out from how they actually answered past connections. Members without enough history show no line at all, so a missing line is not a warning.
How do I know the person on the other side is real?
You can't be certain, but there are several layers. A Verified badge appears only when both an identity check and an entity check have passed. Every member is admitted by application. You can report or block anyone from a chat or a profile, and reports are saved for the Safqos team to review. Safqos does not validate the figures or claims members make, so read the Dossier and do your own checks.
What does Safqos cost?
Free during the beta, with no fees on deals during the beta. After that, optional subscriptions and credits for things like a Direct Pitch. Pricing will be announced before it applies. Members accepted into the beta become founding members: Beta access free for the whole beta, then 6 months of our top plan free when Safqos launches, and 50% off any plan after that for as long as their account exists.
How do I sign up?
Apply at app.safqos.com. The application takes a few minutes on the web. The beta is for the Safqos iPhone app, U.S. only. We review every application, and places are limited and balanced across investors, startups and businesses. Members accepted into the beta become founding members and get TestFlight access to the iPhone app, plus the web app in the meantime. Founding members get a founding member badge on their profile, Beta access free for the whole beta (everything in our top plan, with Interests and Direct Pitches paced while the group is small), 6 months of our top plan free when Safqos launches, then 50% off any plan for as long as their account exists, and a direct line to the founder.
