Delete your account

How to delete your Safqos account and data, what is erased, and what we keep.

This page explains how to delete your Safqos account and your data. The Safqos app is made by Safqos, Inc. You can delete your account inside the app, or ask us by email if you cannot open it.

Delete your account in the app

Open Safqos and sign in.
Open the Profile tab and tap Settings.
Tap Account Settings.
Scroll down to Danger Zone and tap Delete Account.
Read the message, type DELETE, and tap Delete account.

Your account is hidden right away. Other members can no longer find you or message you, and you are signed out on every device.

Delete your account without the app

Email [email protected] from the email address on your account. Use the subject "Delete my account". We may reply to confirm it is you. We then start the same process as in the app, including the 30 day window below.

You have 30 days to change your mind

Nothing is erased for 30 days. Sign back in during that time, open Account Settings, and tap Keep my account. Everything comes back as it was. After 30 days, deletion is final and cannot be undone.

What is deleted

When the 30 days end, we delete:

your profile details, including your name, photo, business name and logo, and location;
your founder, investor or business profile answers and your privacy settings;
your Vault documents, data room files and other files you uploaded;
your verification documents and verification records;
your accredited investor certifications;
your private pitch room notes;
your favorites, profile views, swipes, blocks and activity history;
your Credits balance, notification tokens and visibility boosts; and
your sign-in, including the email address you signed up with.

What we keep, and for how long

Messages and pitch room chat. Messages you sent stay visible to the other person, shown as from "Former member". They no longer carry your name or photo.
NDA signature records. Kept until 7 years after the NDA ends, then deleted. They are evidence of a contract between two people.
Reports and moderation records. Kept, because a report is another member's account of events and our record of what we did about it.
Pitch room recordings and AI call notes. A recording or notes the other person on the call kept stay available to them. Recordings are deleted 24 hours after the call unless a participant keeps one, and kept recordings are deleted 180 days after the call. AI call notes are deleted 180 days after the call.
Recording consent answers. Kept with the pitch room record, as evidence that both people agreed.
Records we need by law. We may keep information longer where we must for legal, accounting or tax reasons, or to resolve a dispute, and only for as long as that reason applies.

Before you delete

Subscriptions. Deleting your account or the app does not cancel a subscription bought through Apple. Cancel it first in your iPhone Settings under your Apple ID and Subscriptions. The beta is free, so this applies only once paid plans start.
Documents. Copies of documents you already sent to other members are separate files that belong to them.
Deleting only some data. You can edit your profile and delete individual documents in the app without deleting your account. For anything else, email us.
