The basics
What is Safqos?
Safqos is a private deal platform that connects investors, startup founders and business owners. Both sides declare their criteria, every Brief carries a Fit score and a Risk signal, and nothing sensitive opens until both sides accept a shared NDA. It is a U.S. beta, iOS first.
Who is Safqos for?
Safqos is for investors, startup founders who are raising, and owners of operating businesses. Investors are angels, private investors, operator-investors, family offices and small funds. Founders run startups raising capital. Owners run operating companies raising growth capital, through equity, debt or revenue share. Each declares their criteria, and the Fit score reads one side's declaration against the other's.
Does Safqos take part in the deal?
No. Safqos connects the parties and gives them a private place to talk, share documents and hold calls. Negotiation, diligence, legal work and the movement of money happen between you, outside the app.
Is Safqos a broker-dealer?
No. Safqos is a technology platform, not a broker-dealer, funding portal, investment adviser or exchange. It does not offer, sell or solicit securities and does not give investment advice.
Why Safqos is different
What stops people from going silent after we connect?
Nothing can force someone to reply, but Safqos shows you the pattern before you invest time. Once a member has enough message history, their Brief and profile carry a plain line such as "Replies within hours" or "Sometimes goes quiet", worked out from how they actually answered past connections. Members without enough history show no line at all, so a missing line is not a warning.
How do I know the person on the other side is real?
You can't be certain, but there are several layers. A Verified badge appears only when both an identity check and an entity check have passed. Every member is admitted by application. You can report or block anyone from a chat or a profile, and reports are saved for the Safqos team to review. Safqos does not validate the figures or claims members make, so read the Dossier and do your own checks.
What if someone asks me for money?
Treat it as a reason to report them. Members do not pay each other through Safqos, and no step in the app needs you to send money to the person you are talking to. Safqos does not move money between members. Use Report in the chat or on the profile, or block the member.
Will I see half-empty or inactive profiles?
Not if they are thin. A profile under 80% complete is hidden from other members' Discover, whatever the account type, until its owner fills it in. The member can still browse and message people they are already connected with. A complete profile does not prove a member is active, which is why the responsiveness line above exists.
Why would the matches be any better than other apps?
Because both sides state their criteria first, and the Fit score reads one declaration against the other instead of guessing. Fit covers sector and model, stage and traction, check size, structure and geography. Where two stated answers rule each other out, such as a required board seat against a no, the Brief shows a red Dealbreaker row. Fit is informational, not a recommendation, and Safqos does not verify what members declare.
Can I control who shows up in my feed?
Yes, to a point. What you declare in your profile drives what you see, and Discover has filters you can set and clear. There is also a limit on how many Interests you can send in a rolling 24 hours, so nobody can blast every profile at once. How many matches you see in the beta depends on who has joined.
Do good deals only go to people with warm intros?
No. Discover works from declared criteria, not from who you know, so a member whose criteria fit can see a Brief without an introduction. A founder or owner can also reach one investor directly with a Direct Pitch. Safqos is a small beta, so we make no promise about how many deals or investors you will see.
Will I get stuck paying for something I can't cancel?
No. The beta is free, so there is nothing to cancel yet. Later, any subscription is bought through the App Store, and you cancel it in iOS Settings under Subscriptions. We will announce pricing before it applies. One rule to know in advance: credits spent on a Direct Pitch are not refunded once it is sent.
Do I pay if no deal happens?
No fee depends on a deal. There are no fees on deals during the beta, and Safqos does not take a percentage of anything. If paid plans or credits arrive after the beta, they pay for features in the app and are not tied to whether you close.
Who do I contact if something goes wrong?
Write to [email protected], the only support channel for now. Inside the app you can report or block a member directly from a chat or a profile.
How matching works
Is the Fit score a recommendation?
No. Fit is an informational indicator of how closely two sets of declared criteria line up: sector and model, stage and traction, check size, structure, geography. It says nothing about the quality of a business or the likelihood of any outcome, and Safqos does not verify the figures members declare. Read the Dossier and decide for yourself.
What is the Risk signal?
A letter grade, A+ to F, shown on a founder's or owner's Brief. It is computed only from what they submitted, across seven categories: financials, operations, documentation, team, valuation, consistency between the numbers, and profile completeness. Tap it for every factor and its reason. It informs and never gates: no Brief is hidden or blocked because of its grade. It is not investment advice, it is based on information that may be incomplete or unverified, and startup and operating-business grades are not comparable with each other.
What is a SafPass?
Your digital business card. Hand it over in person, like a business card at a dinner or a conference, and the other person scans it to pull up your profile and connect on the spot. It is a permanent code in the form SP-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX, issued when your account is created, plus a QR. It shows exactly what Discover would show. Anonymous investors stay anonymous and the Vault stays locked until a shared NDA is accepted. You can turn SafPass lookup off in settings; the code stops working for search until you turn it back on.
Privacy, trust and the NDA
What is the NDA, and who signs it?
One shared NDA per connection, the same document for both members, accepted by both. Until then, the thread is capped at three messages each and gated documents stay locked. After it, the thread opens, the Vault unlocks per the owner's settings, and Pitch Rooms can be scheduled. The NDA is between the two members; Safqos is not a party to it.
Is my information confidential?
Your profile is shown to admitted members only. It is not on the public internet and not indexed by search engines. Financial statements, decks, data rooms, the full message thread and Pitch Rooms sit behind the shared NDA. You choose what goes behind that gate and when it opens. Documents opened from the Vault can be watermarked to the viewer, which discourages onward sharing rather than preventing it.
Can investors stay anonymous?
Yes. An investor can hide their name, photo, LinkedIn and video from members they haven't connected with. Their declared criteria and the Fit are always shown. Founders and owners reveal their real name and photo to a counterparty once a Direct Pitch or a connection exists.
What does the Verified badge mean?
Only that an identity check and an entity check have both passed. It is not an endorsement of the member or their deal, and Safqos does not validate the figures or claims members make.
Pitch Rooms and Direct Pitch
Are calls recorded?
Only if both members consent, and the question is asked on every call. Pitch Rooms are available after the NDA is accepted.
What is a Direct Pitch?
A way for a founder or owner to reach one investor without waiting for mutual interest: a short note plus chosen Vault documents, delivered to that investor's inbox for seven days. It uses credits, which are free during the beta and not refunded once sent. Attachments arrive with the pitch and can be opened right away, before any NDA, so attach only what you are comfortable sharing.
Pricing and the beta
What does Safqos cost?
Free during the beta, with no fees on deals during the beta. After that, optional subscriptions and credits for things like a Direct Pitch. Pricing will be announced before it applies. Members accepted into the beta become founding members, with our top plan free for their first 3 months after launch and a founding price locked in for as long as they stay subscribed.
How do I sign up?
Accounts open soon, U.S. only, iOS first. Join the waitlist for news, the beta date and a heads-up when applications open. Beta places are limited and balanced across investors, startups and businesses. Members accepted into the beta become founding members. Founding members get a founding member badge on their profile, our top plan free for the first 3 months after launch, a founding price locked in for as long as they stay subscribed, and a direct line to the founder. Details are confirmed in your invite. Membership is by application and admission is at our discretion.
Is it available on Android, or outside the U.S.?
No. The beta is U.S. only and iOS first. An Android build and other markets come later, on a schedule the beta group helps set.
How do I reach you?
[email protected]. That is the only channel for now.
